USS Midway and Museum of Man
USS Midway
I haven’t been to the USS Midway before the field trip. I am a little afraid of being on boats and being in large bodies of water. So, I faced my fears just by going on the boat. The scariest part was when I first walked on, I could feel my heartbeat raise and could feel the ache and adrenaline in me. Since it was such a huge boat it wasn’t that scary because you can’t even feel it swaying in the water and once you are inside it feels like you are in a building. I would be more scared if I was on a much smaller boat, in the ocean. I really like the glass floor, where you can see 4 floors down. I’m not afraid of heights so I could walk on it just fine. Well, I mean everyone has to be a little bit afraid because you could die from high places, but I don’t freak out. I just think, “Wow, that looks painful”. I also talked to Lora Regan, she works at The Pentagon and she is a part of the Project Recovery. Two other people and I talked to her so much that she gave us her business card! I learned what MIA means. I never knew till yesterday, "Missing In Action".

Museum of Man
The museum was really cool. I have never been to such an interesting museum. It had a lot of things to interact with. I remember three parts of the museum really well. The first one I went to was the Post Secret exhibit. I read people's secrets that they wrote and put in the boxes. My friends and I also wrote down some secrets. It was a comfy space and there was a particular piece of art that I liked. It says, “I’m in love with my best friend.” That art piece was interesting. There was also a message on the wall, in a corner that isn't seen at first, for someone to call to get help.
